Gujarat TET 2020 - All about Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test (Gujarat TET) ✓ Notification ✓ Application Form ✓ Syllabus ✓ Admit Card ✓ Eligibility ✓ Question Papers ✓ Answer Key ✓ Exam Date ✓ Exam Pattern ✓ Cut-off Marks for the post Primary Teacher (from 1st class to 5th class) and Upper Primary Teacher (from 6th Class to 8th Class) examination to be held in 2020.

Candidates interested in appearing for the exam should apply only through online process from official website www.ojas.guj.nic.in.

The Gujarat Government conducts this examination and recruiting the eligible teachers in the state of Gujarat. Gujarat TET is for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Gujarat.

The Gujarat TET 2020 will be held as per following schedule

1. Online registration starts from (For Paper I): July 10, 2020

2. Online registration starts from (For Paper II): June 10, 2020

3. Submission of registration fee through e-challan starts from (For Paper I) : 10th July, 2020

4. Submission of registration fee through e-challan starts from (For Paper II) : 10th June, 2020

5. Last date of online registration: 19th June 2020 (For Paper I) & 20th July 2020(For Paper II)

6. Download Hall Ticket/Call Latter (For Paper I) : 2020 to 2020

7. Download Hall Ticket/Call Latter (For Paper II) : 2020 to 2020

8. Gujarat TET 2020 Exam Date (Paper I) : August 23, 2020

9. Gujarat TET 2020 Exam Date (Paper II) : July 19, 2020

Gujarat TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

For class I to V - Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 yrs. diploma in elementary education. OR

Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 yrs. diploma in elementary education (B.EI.Ed).

For class VI to VIII - B.A. / B.Sc. and passed or appearing in final 2 yrs. diploma in elementary education. OR

B.A. / B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed of appearing in 1 yr. bachelor in education OR

Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 yrs. B.A. / B.Sc. Ed or B.A. (Ed.) / B.SC (Ed.)

Gujarat TET 2020 Application Form

Candidates are required to apply online application form from the official website www.ojas.guj.nic.in from June 2020 to July 2020. After successfully submission of application form, candidates need to take print out of duly filled application form for future references.

Application Fee:

General/OBC category candidates have to pay application fee Rs 350/-

SC/ST category candidates are required to pay Rs 250 as application fee.

Gujarat TET 2020 Selection Procedure

The Candidates will be selected only based on their performance in Gujarat TET 2020 written examination.
Qualified candidates will be called for document verification and then the allotments will be made based on the merit of the candidate.
Gujarat TET 2020 Syllabus
Paper I (for classes I to V);-No. of MCQs – 150;
Duration of examination: one-and-a-half hours
Structure and Content
(All Compulsory)
(i) Child Development and Pedagogy——————- 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I ——————————————-30 “ 30 “
(iii) Language II —————————————–30 “ 30 “
(iv) Mathematics —————————————-30 “ 30 “
(v) Environmental Studies ——————————-30 “ 30 “

Nature and standard of questions

While designing and preparing the questions for Paper I, the examining body shall take the following factors into consideration:

• The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

• The Test items for Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction, (as chosen from list of prescribed language options in the application form).

• The Language II will be from among the prescribed options other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the application form. The test items in Language II will also focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I–V by the appropriate Government.

• The questions in the tests for Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for classes I–V, but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be upto the secondary stage.
Paper II
(for classes VI to VIII); No. of MCQs – 150;
Duration of examination : one-and-a-half hours
Structure and Content
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) ————–30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) ———————————-30 “ 30 “
(iii) Language II (compulsory) ———————————30 “ 30 “
(iv) (a) For Mathematics and Science teacher : Mathematics and Science – 60 MCQs
of 1 mark each
(b) For Social studies teacher : Social Studies – 60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(c) for any other teacher – either 4(a) or 4(b)

the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

• The test items for Language I will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction, as chosen from list of prescribed options in the application form.

• The Language II will be a language other than Language I. The person may choose any one language from among the available options and as in the specified list in the application form and attempt questions in the one indicated by the candidate in the application form by him. The Test
items in Language II will also focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

• The test items in Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects. The test items of Mathematics and Science will be of 30 marks each. The test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed for classes VI-VIII
by the appropriate government.

• The question s in the tests for Paper II will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for classes VI-VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages could be upto the senior secondary stage.

8 The question paper shall be bilingual – (i) in language(s) as decided by the appropriate Government; and (ii) English language.

Gujarat TET 2020 Admit Card
Candidates will be able to download their Admit Card before the two weeks of the exam. Candidates are requested to visit the same website to download their Admit Card For Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test (GTET) Exam 2020.

Procedure to download Gujarat TET 2020 Admit Card Online

1:- Log on to the official website www.ojas.guj.nic.in.

2:- Follow the link of “Examination” and click on 'Admit Card'.

3:- Enter Registration Number in the space provided.

4:- Hall Ticket/Admit Card will be show on your screen.

5:- Print-copy or Download in your computer.
